| Resumen | The making of objects from animal and vegetable fibres was once a very important activity for Aboriginal people. They made ritual objects for use in their religious life, and everyday items essential to their survival as they collected food, huntes and fished. Nowadays Aborigines have no need for many of their traditional fibre products. However, in many communities people still take pride in making beautiful basckets, bags and mats. |
