Binhame es una base bibliográfica que busca fortalecer el proceso de organización del material bibliográfico y documental existente en la Amazonía ecuatoriana. Como parte de la misión y visión la Universidad Estatal Amazónica (UEA) se pretende ofrecer un recurso para investigadores, académicos, estudiantes y público en general. Es de uso público y gratuito y los usuarios/autores son invitados a alimentar este material, correspondiendo con los derechos de autor.

Pienso, luego creo: La teoría makuna del mundo (Ver) Categoría: Libro Autor: Cayón, Luis Resumen: Este libro es una aproximación al sistema de conocimiento de los chamanes jaguares de yuruparí, característico de los pueblos indígenas que habitan en la región de los ríos Pirá Paraná y Apaporis en la Amazonia colombiana. Este sistema de conocimiento fue reconocido por la Unesco en 2011 como patrimonio intangible de la humanidad. A partir del trabajo etnográfico entre la makuna, se hace un análisis entre los conceptos de pensamiento (ketioka) y yuruparí (he) para identificar algunos principios de su teoría del mundo. Con ello se propone, entre otras cosas, una reformulación de la organización social regional. A su vez, se comprueba que el sistema de conocimiento está orientado por el trabajo chamánico y ritual dirigido hacia la cosmoproducción –concepto que incluye tanto los procesos de construcción de la persona como la de construcción de los componentes del mundo-, gracias a la mutua construcción interactiva entre la persona, los lugares, los objetos asociados a su especialidad social y a diversas sustancias, resultante de la relación de vitalidad que establecen entre ellos. |

En este libro, derivado de una tesis doctoral defendida en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Sebastían Gómez González demuestra que estas vastas regiones, generalmente olvidadas por la historiografía hispanoamericana , fueron escenario de encendidas disputas a lo largo del siglo XVIII. Los conflictos venían incubándose desde el comienzo de la empresa colonizadora de la América del Sur, puesto que la ausencia de una frontera precisa entre territorios americanos de los imperios ibéricos dio lugar a modelos espontáneos de poblamiento y ocupación, en los que las voluntades individuales terminaron por suplantar las desfasadas políticas metropolitanas. Así, en los enfrentamientos por la posesión de la frontera selvática y sus recursos, tomaron parte jesuitas y soldados, contrabandistas y exploradores ilustrados, indios de muy diversas naciones y variopintos funcionarios monárquicos. Para interpretar y reconstruir esta lucha encarnizada y marginal de las dos Coronas, el autor acometió la exploración de una abundante documentación en archivos de España, Portugal, Roma, Brasil y Colombia. |

Partiré de una breve reseña histórica destacando el interés occidental en la explotación de sus recursos naturales; se ilustran las diversas estrategias de apropiación del medio ambiente; las formas de organización social; el papel desempeñado por la diversidad lingüística en la identidad y las relaciones con otras etnias; las diferentes concepciones sobre el poblamiento y actual transformación en aldeas; y finalizara con un recuento de la política territorial y el lugar que ocupa la población indígena de dichas organizaciones. El texto resume la histórica intervención de la sociedad nacional y su presentación de vincular sus gentes a la órbita del mercado para la explotación económica de sus propios territorios, tratados como cantera de recursos, y termina con las recientes percepciones de los indígenas de la selva tropical húmeda, en la que los Indios, mas allá de la historia de su cultura son, nuevamente, disculpa que respalda a la apropiación de sus recursos. |
